  Participants must have a complete understanding of fixed income securities, interest rate futures, swaps, and options or have completed the Fixed Income Securities course and the Interest Rate Futures, Swaps and Options courses of this series.
Objectives   Upon completion of this course, participants will have a complete understanding of some of the issues surrounding the use of derivatives within the context of a fixed income or interest rate sensitive portfolio. Participants will also be able to appreciate the unique capabilities of interest rate derivatives and how these instruments can be a powerful addition to any portfolio manager's toolbox.
